The Kahwatsi:re Akwesasne Genealogy & Historical Society holds a family tree database with over 10,000 names with some families dating back to the 1500s.  We have access to the St. Regis Catholic Church records, Kansas Applications from the late 1800s, published obituaries and many other resources.  Although most of our records pertain to Akwesasne Mohawks, we may be able to refer you to the many other Mohawk communities in Canada.

Fees:

First person of interest is free for enrolled members of the Mohawk Nation Council of Chiefs, Mohawk Council of Akwesasne, Saint Regis Mohawk Tribe. Additional person(s) of interest will be $20 each.

General - $25 for each person of interest.

If additional research is requested on the same person, it will be charged at $25 per hour.

Fill out as much information as you can, attach any records you have and return to us with the appropriate fee. Birth dates, death dates and marriage dates are a huge help in tracking down information.
